If you have recently experienced a loss of data as a result of a damaged hard drive or virus, we can help. We will evaluate your storage media and determine if it is possible to recover your important files. We can recover data from the following systems and devices:
- Hard Drives: Desktops, Servers, Laptops, RAID arrays
- File Systems: FAT, NTFS, Ext2/3, ReiserFS, Reiser4, HFS, HFS+, UFS, CDFS, UDF
Some examples of the types of data that we recover for our clients include:
- Email Recovery
- Quickbooks Recovery
- Family photos and movies
- Historical tax records
- Program specific user files
- And many others
Hard drives can fail for any number of reasons. Some of the more common failures are unstable or damaged sectors, firmware corruption, burnt components on the hard drive’s PCB, and malfunctioning heads. Some hard drive failures are easier to fix than others, which is why we offer a graduated pricing schedule. Unlike other recovery companies, we won’t overcharge you if your problem is relatively easy and straightforward.
If your hard drive has suffered from a physical failure, it may be necessary to replace or repair some internal components. In these cases it is extremely important to work in a controlled environment that is as dust and contaminant free as possible. SMART Data Recovery uses a laminar flow hood (example here) to handle hard drives in these cases.
